For Students Only Accommodation in the Heart of York

Great location and the room was comfortable, considering it was student accommodation. The bus to the city center, and toward the university was directly across the street for One Direction, and about 30 paces away for the other direction. Super convenient.

A lamp for the desk would’ve been very helpful for studying.

The place had a ready to use kitchen with pans, kettle, cutlery, etc. a desk for working and a bathroom, all fairly clean. During my stay, it was pretty quiet.

I was somewhat surprised at the lack of a towel (there was only a tiny kitchen towel, nothing for the bathroom) and soap (though shampoo and shower gel were provided, which I ended up using for washing hands). The name of the building appeared to be something like "Student rooster", not what it said on the Booking.com page, so a bit confusing at first. The studio was very dark, the rules asked to throw away your rubbish before leaving, which I obligingly did, though finding the bins appeared to be a quest with several returns to the receptionist for further directions, so it felt like it would have been easier for everyone if they did it themselves.

Reception desk checked our ID and then showed us to the room and gave us the FOB, quick and easy

There was a bath matt but no towels, was a bit annoying Bed a bit small for 2 people

I like the location of the house and the room was very comfortable as well. Persons at the reception desk were also very helpful.

The key of the room didn't work on the first night. I had to wait until next morning to figure it out. The person in the reception helped to get into room with the master key. Other than that, everything else was good.
