The house is fabulous. We have stayed before and came back again. It is in a great location and is very roomy with a lovely view.

The booking process was a nightmare. Only a few days before travel we were require to give personal details that resulted in our bank putting a block on our credit card account because it picked up the charge as a scam. We were travelling with an 85 year old grandmother so dare not arrive in a place and find we had no suitable accommodation, had to contact our bank, contact booking.com to find out if it was a scam - who did not respond in a timely way. Contacted the agent directly who were polite but not very reassuring. It was too late to change the booking so we went ahead to approve a payment even though our bank still identified it as a scam. It was very stressful. Booking.com eventually reassured us, long after we were checked in already. Booking.com should have a process to identify properties that will require additional credit card approvals, well in advance to avoid such situations.

We all absolutely loved the view from the balcony, over looking St Michael's Mount and harbour. Everything in the house was clean and tidy on arrival, everything you needed was in the house.

The location was a little surprise as the house is located on top of a hill (not very good to push a pram back up, haha). That didn't stop us from having a good time though!

Das Beste ist der Blick vom Balkon über die ganze Bucht. Das Wohnzimmer ist dadurch ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen. Das Haus war innen weitgehend sauber. Die Umgebung ist ruhig.

Das Haus wirkt ungepflegt. Es war zwar innen sauber, aber es fühlte sich feucht an. In der unteren Etage sind richtige Schimmelflecken an den Wänden, z.T. sind die Bilder an den Wänden verschimmelt. Auf dem Balkon wächst zwischen den Brettern Unkaut heraus, teilweise 40 cm hoch. Dort standen auch fremde Schuhe (von den Vormietern?). Die Sitzbänke waren von Vögelkot dreckig. Im Garten war eine Tür aus einem Geräteschuppen herausgefallen. Im Flur steht ein kaputtes Schuhregal. Eine Stunde vor Ankunft wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass eine der beiden Duschen nicht funktioniert. Mit massivem Druck erreichten wir, dass am nächsten Tag ein Handwerker kam, der die Dusche etwas reparierte - die Wassertemperatur ließ sich nicht verändern, zum Duschen reichte es, zum Haarewaschen war es zu heiß. Die Schlafzimmer im Keller-bzw.-Gartengeschoss können nicht empfohlen werden, da zu feucht. Die Lage des Hauses ist auf einem Berg. Man muss vom Zentrum von Newlyn schon etwa 10-15 Minuten ziemlich steil bergauf steigen. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist sehr karg, es gab kein Regal und keine Kleiderbügel in meinem Zimmer.
