The Bach at 44 - Cooks Beach Holiday Home

Location of this accommodation was brilliant, so close to a few shops and places to eat, and a stones throw from the beach. Also really close drive to the ferry port over to Whitianga. The kitchen was fully equipped and lots of useful equipment we could have borrowed if we needed it too. Very clean and host was lovely when we met her. Was a lovely place to stay.

There are two key safes and we didn't realise this on arrival so had to call to be able to get the key. Obviously we felt a little silly when we realised there was more than one, but better instructions on where this was would be useful. We had to call a helpline to contact the host. They were great, but once we eventually got through. We also accidentally locked ourselves out as we didn't realise the main door could be set to lock behind you. However, the host was brilliant again and came really quickly to let us back in. We also didn't have hot water the first day as we couldn't find a switch to turn it on, and couldn't find anywhere in the book to tell us where it was. Again, another very simple fix and the host came really quickly to show us the next day but having this information available would have saved us having to bother her (again!). Would also be great if the living space was made a little cosier with a few lamps, but this is a very small gripe!

Lovely place, had everything we needed. Fantastic outdoor seating and great space for our dog to run around. So close to beach and shops.
