Charming property but not worth the rate charged.

Location was good just inside the old walls of the town. Easy walking distance to bars and restaurants.

This property needs to ensure it's description and content are truthful and up to date. There is no mention in the accommodation description of steep cobbled steps leading up to the entrance door, and then a further two long flights of stone steps internally. As a mature single traveller I struggled. The lady who met me to let me into the property wasn't strong enough to help. This information would have been useful to know in advance. I was lucky that another guest took my case up the second flight but when I left there was nobody else there at all - you just leave the key in the door and let yourself out. I had great difficulty trying to hold onto the metal rail and walking backwards bump my suitcase down one step at a time. There was conflicting information about which cafe to go to for breakfast - one message verbally in poor English and another written card in the property which apparently was out of date. The room was clean but water bottles behind the door had not been cleared away and a half empty shower gel sachet was left in the shower. The property description says free toiletries are provided this = just one skinny bar of soap. The description says guests can enjoy Continental, American, Italian, full English/Irish, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free breakfasts. Not true - you walk to a local cafe (which was charming and run by really friendly ladies) that served coffee, juice and choice of bread/pastry/cake to value of Euro 4.50. Nothing cooked. Additionally the room was not serviced during my stay. I have stayed in bed and breakfasts worldwide - this is the first time nobody has cleaned the room. If the property was advertised as an unserviced apartment I would make better sense. For the room rate charged this was not acceptable. There was a broken shower head holder in my room - which I afterwards read had been reported by a guest over a month previously.

The roof top terrace was worth paying a premium price. Location was excellent to the main square and surroundings. Our host was friendly and very helpful.

Attention to detail, fridge and the wall connection for the shower including the shower curtain were broken. No tea towel or dishcloth.

Un' ottima camera in pieno centro storico

Proprietari simpatici e disponibili, il B&B si trova in pieno centro a Campiglia Marittima. La colazione è convenzionata con un ottimo Bar/Panetteria del paese a cinque minuti a piedi dalla struttura. La camera in cui abbiamo soggiornato era dotata di aria condizionata.

L'alloggio era pulito e ben posizionato nel centro di Campiglia, con un arredamento curato e una piacevole personalizzazione degli ambienti, distribuiti su due piani. Ottima posizione per visitare il paesino e raggiungere facilmente i locali nelle vicinanze.

Uno dei motivi per cui avevamo scelto la struttura era la "vista panoramica" indicata nella descrizione, ma nella nostra stanza purtroppo non c’era alcuna vista del genere. Inoltre, al momento della prenotazione, la comunicazione risulta poco chiara: le foto presenti nell’annuncio possono facilmente indurre a pensare che la terrazza sia accessibile a tutti gli ospiti, cosa che in realtà non è. Abbiamo avuto qualche difficoltà nel trovare parcheggio nei dintorni: naturalmente non è una responsabilità diretta del B&B, ma è bene tenerne conto se si arriva in auto. All’interno della struttura ci sono due rampe di scale da fare prima di raggiungere la stanza: non è un grosso problema, ma con bagagli può risultare un po’ scomodo. Il telefono della doccia era rotto e nel contenitore per l’igiene mancavano i sacchetti. La colazione si fa in un bar vicino alla piazza centrale di Campiglia: stando entro i 5-6 euro si può prendere una pasta dolce, un caffè, un succo. Niente di speciale, ma comunque comoda come soluzione. Nel complesso, il rapporto qualità-prezzo non mi è sembrato proporzionato rispetto alle aspettative.
