Spring Gulch Cabin at Base Camp

The property provided all the basic necessities that we could ask for except that the no air conditioning made sleeping very difficult for the four nights we were there. If we kept the windows closed because of the highway noise, then it became very hot and if we open the windows again, we had the traffic noise. We particularly liked sitting on the balcony the back patio and having the mountain greenery right there at our feet with even a short path that we could use for a slight bit of exercise. you need a new mattress for sure, and the sheets don’t fit the size of the mattress. I would suggest a. mini split air conditioner window style in the bedroom for your summer Visitors! During the day we were out running around seeing things and would not need it in the living room. we would likely stay with you in a spring or fall. But never again in the summer! It was too unbearably hot to sleep at night, until about 1 o’clock in the morning, even with the fans blowing and the windows open.

The cabin was a great place to stay very close to I-70 and a river. Great views from the cabin and around the area. Difficulty with communication after booking, but eventually got it figured out. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent location to have as your Bass camp to check out the area in Idaho Springs, and surrounding areas. Check-in process was easy room was comfortable. Bed was comfortable. You have your own private cabin. There is a lot of road noise, but they provide earplugs if road noise bothers you.

We did not receive the check-in instructions as they noted. We had to call to get that sorted out. Some other reviewers noted this as well. Wish they could have a bit more kitchen stuff beyond just the bare bone. The microwave showed nothing on the screen to be even able to tell what was going on. Its size is definitely for one or two people. Could be more cleaner in the bathroom and kitchen; JS had to clean the cups and utensils before using them as they clearly had stains.
