About this house rental
What a view! Nestled high on the ridge, in Grand Marais, overlooking Lake Superior, this completely remodeled house has real hickory hardwood floors throughout. It has a new cabin feel, all shiplap & tongue and groove walls and ceiling. All new high-end, stainless-steel appliances (refrigerator, stove and washer/dryer), quartz counter tops, hammered cooper kitchen sink, and leather furniture, including a pull-out sofa (queen). Bathroom as tub/shower.
We offer a selection of K cups for the Keurig or if you enjoy drip coffee we do have a regular coffee maker as well. There are three smart TVs, total with amazon/netflix available. One TV in the King bedroom, one in the main living room and one in the kids living area (that has the pull-out sofa). For as beautiful as this house is inside, the outdoor space is more amazing, platform decks off front and side doors and outdoor firepit . The kitchen, living room and queen bedroom has an amazing view of Lake Superior. Sit on the porch swing and sip coffee or wine all day looking at the beautiful blue hues of the water. Play corn-hole (game provided to use) in the side yard or bring your own outdoor games for the whole family. Plenty of parking room for trucks & trailers. The heated garage has an additional refrigerator and outdoor grill for guest use. Toward the back of the house enjoy a private area for your campfire. There are 3 heat sources for this house. One is 100% off-grid meaning it will work if the case of a power outage.
Main source of heat for house is forced air propane. There is a pellet stove both inside the house (optional for you to use) and in the garage as the main source of heat for the garage. We recommend you bring bags of pellets and if you need additional, they can be available for $8/bag.
This is a pet friendly property. Please note there is a pet fee of $100.00 therefore you must disclose you are bringing a pet. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and must be in a crate if ever left unattended.
Bath towels are provided one per guest.
if any extra towels or beach towels are needed please bring them.
The deck is one level and has a drop off at one end, facing Lake Superior. Please note there are no railings on this deck.
Please note there is no A/C. More than likey you will not need it, there are 2 portable fans in the house, also each bedroom and the kitchen has there own ceiling fan.
We recommend that you bring your own groceries as our grocery store has a limited variety and is more expensive than a national chain.

Great location. Big for a 2-bedroom place—Probably 1200 sq ft. Perfectly positioned for views of Lake Superior across a rolling green lawn. We saw the aurora borealis from the front deck!
