South Merino Guestfarm

It felt like a five star luxury hotel in the middle of the Karoo. Loved everything about it. Beds were comfortable, plenty of soft blankets available, firepace and sitting area in the room, food was incredible, and kitchen had everything we needed.

A bathmat in the bathroom was the only little detail I would have liked.

I loved everything about the property. Wonderful host, delicious bread, comfortable beds, warm, beautiful view of mountain and garden.

The only small minus was that the property is quite close to the N1, so you can hear the traffic. Otherwise, the location and everything abot it is exceptional.

We did not organise for any Breakfast but the dinner braai packs were well priced and delicious, accompanied with a delicious freshly baked bread and a salad; wood and firelighters were also provided at a nominal fee, also had a well stocked honesty bar. Tea and coffee with hme made rusks in the rooms. Fabulous for a one/two night stay while travelling to Cape Town- no need to worry about carting food or finding a place to eat after a long day of driving. A fabulous destination with such a friendly hostess.

Beautiful, well appointed guesthouse, convenient location and excellent host. Modern and comfortable finishes. A typical Karoo farm experience - a walk through the sheep and a most delicious dinner of lamb shank pie, salad & homemade bread delivered to the chalet. The option of drinks from an honesty bar, and a kitchen for self-catering. We would highly recommend.
