Dear vacationers,
we are Elme and Horst—a vacation cooperative offering a guesthouse and vacation apartments in the Klützer Winkel region, near Boltenhagen in northwestern Mecklenburg.
Our nonprofit vacation retreat operates under the motto: “Sharing the Good Life.” Here, we offer a place to connect, with plenty of space for interaction and shared experiences with other vacationers, but also ample room for individual retreat.
The former three-sided farmstead in Elmenhorst, in the municipality of Kalkhorst, is located near the Baltic Sea.
The guesthouse has twelve rooms, four of which are double rooms with private shower rooms; the single and shared rooms have shower rooms and restrooms in the hallway.
The main house features four spacious vacation apartments, each with two bedrooms, and a single room, all with private shower rooms and restrooms.
Surrounding the property is a large 7,000 m² garden with an orchard, a fire pit, barbecue facilities, and a pizza oven.
The large, professionally equipped kitchen in the guesthouse is available to all guests and invites everyone to cook together.
The common areas have space for a long dining table. Lovingly designed seating areas provide space for conversation, game nights, and reading sessions.
A total of 43 beds are available in the guesthouse and the vacation apartments.
This means that even larger groups can stay with Elme and Horst.
Towels and bed linens can be rented for 15 euros per person or brought from home.
The municipality charges a visitor’s tax of 1.50 per night per person for guests aged 16 and older.

Horst 2_ green:

Our vacation rental, Horst_2_ Green, located on the upper floor of the house, offers 68 square meters of space for up to 5 people. It features one bedroom with a double bed and one with two single beds. There is an additional bed in the separate sleeping area. The spacious living area opens up to the attic. The exposed beams and hardwood floors give the apartment a special charm—the loft is a particularly attractive retreat. The bathroom with shower is spacious and bright. The kitchenette opens onto the living area and is equipped with everything you need.
Towels and bed linens can be rented for 15 euros per person or brought from home.
Horst_2_ Grün is part of the Elme and Horst vacation cooperative, a place of community and togetherness designed to counteract social isolation.

On-site costs: Upon booking, the total amount is due within 14 days. Bookings can be canceled free of charge up to 60 days before arrival. For cancellations made between 30 and 60 days before arrival, 50% of the total amount will be refunded.Cancellations made less than 30 days in advance will result in the full amount being retained by Elme and Horst. Towels and bed linens can be booked for an additional 15 euros per person. The municipality charges a visitor’s tax of 1.50 per night per person (ages 16 and older).



Check-in is from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00, and check-out is from 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
