Kids love discovering flowers, butterflies, and other creatures here, and using the meadow to play and run around. Late in the evening, you can hear the little owl hooting by the campfire right in the middle of it all. The “Am Obstgarten” vacation rental is the perfect starting point for your activities. It’s situated in a landscape that constantly alternates between mountains, valleys, forests, meadows, and water—right on the 235-km-long Bergischer Panoramasteig trail, as well as the approximately 12-km-long Lutherweg, a meditative trail around Lieberhausen, and the “Streifzug 10” trail focused on energy production. Discover medieval frescoes in the Bunten Kerke in Lieberhausen, the stalactite cave in Wiehl, Homburg Castle, the bird and monkey park in Eckenhagen, numerous historic mill sites, the Bruch natural outdoor pool at the Aggertalsperre, the railway museum in Gummersbach-Dieringhausen, Cologne Cathedral, and welcoming places to stop for refreshments. Enjoy your vacation, discover the Bergisches Land Nature Park, and stay in a cozy and comfortable apartment in the annex of a 300-year-old historic building. The vacation rental includes a parking space, a small cottage garden, and a large terrace with a beautiful view of the orchard. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking and baking. A cozy seating area in the living room invites you to relax. Historic half-timbered beams, fieldstone walls, and an open space extending all the way to the roof ridge bear witness to the house’s history. The traditional building materials—clay, wood, and cork—create an indoor environment where even those with allergies can feel at ease. Next to the bathroom, a comfortable spiral staircase leads to the upper floor. A sitting area invites you to read, play, and paint. From the two 90x200 cm single beds on the loft above the living room, you can gaze far across the valley and up at the starry sky. The age of the building is particularly evident in the cozy bedroom with its 180x200 cm double bed.
