About this house rental
Escape to our serene haven nestled in the heart of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. This inviting property offers the perfect home base for your bourbon tasting adventures. The Bourbon Bungalow is located in a rural/residential area across the street from Guist Creek Lake in the charming town of Shelbyville. We are midway between Louisville and Lexington and perfectly situated for visits to a plethora of distilleries.
Our home features four cozy bedrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining table that seats eight, and a welcoming living area perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring local distilleries. Enjoy picturesque sunsets from the front porch or relax on the patio in the back. Fix a cocktail while you listen to a record on our record player. After a day of bourbon tasting and exploring, you’ll definitely want to sink into the hot tub (seats 7) and relieve the day’s adventures. In the summer (Memorial Day through Labor Day) you’ll have the refreshing pool for a dip.
Each of our bedrooms is designed to bring to life one of our favorite local distilleries. Have fun choosing which one you like best!

Host was absolutely wonderful at communication and ensuring needs were met. Property is even better than the photo's, which are already incredible. Clean, accessible, well stocked kitchen for plates and cookware. We played pool, swam, soaked in the hot tub, listened to records, grilled, cooked, used all bathrooms, stayed in, went out, and generally had a blast. Thanks to the hosts for ensuring such a wonderful experience.

My family visited the location for stops on the Bourbon Trail in Lexington and Louisville. From the Pool table to the hot tub to the grill, it was a stay that was made better by staying here. 10/10 time and would recommend to everyone to stay here.

The place was very welcoming. However, there was mold and dust in many places of the home. Looks appealing from pictures but when entering the home, we saw dirty appliances and dishes. Even when we tried to make coffee, there was mold in the machine. The living room had dusty fans and cobwebs just by looking up. There will have to be a very thorough cleaning before staying again.
