8 / 10Excellent·Oct 2026
Nice, peaceful location, good property layout and comfortable.
The property would benefit from a more detailed clean. Windows were not cleaned, cooker door with long standing stains and lots of cobwebs in the main bedroom.

Stayed at Riverwood lodge for 6 nights whilst our home was being renovated. We had a lovely stay, the lodge and park are very quiet and relaxing. Lovely areas to walk our dog with lots of space. There is a dog play park close by which we used regularly and it’s an easy walk into Pickering.
If crane flies bother you avoid September as there are thousands of them around the lodge and as it was nice weather while we were there we couldn’t open the patio doors as much as we would have liked, obviously it’s nature but something to be aware of. IMO, Could do with a blind in the dressing room.

Spacious, clean, cosy and perfect location
Signage to the site could've been clearer and the sat nav didn't recognise the address
