The view of the harbor was great from the property. The town of Portofino is nice. There are some nice walks. Restaurants are good. Gelato I got in Portofino is best of any I had throughout our 16 day northern Italy trip.

- Walk to this property is long and tiring— very steep long walk. No info was given in the description on booking.com on how long and difficult the walk is. - We were charged €80 to have our suitcases taken up to house— this was not indicted on booking.com either. We were told it was necessary to pay in cash for this. We do not feel this is a reasonable charge. - Parking— the listing on booking.com says free parking nearby, we were told we needed to park in paid garage below the house and were charged €40 cash per day (x2 days). We were paid back but be sure you are not charged. - There were no instructions for anything at house. - Water did not work at all in one bathroom or sink in dining area. - Of the other 3 bathrooms only one had water hot enough for a shower— so 5 of us had to share one bathroom. When we asked about how to turn on the water heat, manager said there are buttons in each bathroom— there were not. He even sent a picture of the type of button but there was no kind of control in any room that looked like the link he sent. He did come to the apartment but also could not figure out how to make the water hot and said he was wrong about the button. - The hot water also did not work in kitchen. Manager claimed it was warm but it was not even body temperature. - The booking.com listing indicated that there were bathrobes. But there were no bathrobes offered to us. - There was an exterior lift that looked like it could have taken us and our luggage up the very tall hill but we were not offered that so perhaps it was out of order. It should be fixed. - The door of the oven is not attached to the oven. - The clothes dryer does not work. The door does not stay closed so it will not stay running. - There is mold on shower curtain of one bathroom. - Ice cube trays in freezer had mold in them. - We only had a limited number of bath towels. - Manager of property was difficult.
