Everything was fine and comfortable in the apartment. Metro is 5,8 mins walking. That was very convenient!
Some water would be nice in the fridge. All was good!

The place was clean enough, the walking areas with restaurants were close by, and the Metro was not too far either. AC worked great and the coffee machine was handy, and the host was very responsive.
The street looked a bit, sketchy at first, but we got used to it. We had to pick up the keys from a different location, the "2nd Floor" is actually the 3rd, and people on the 2nd floor were annoyed to the point where they had a written note on their door. Although the place was remodeled, some things and areas showed age and cracks, also in our bedroom there was a 2 inch gap in between the wood flooring planks, I actually bruised my toe in it (forgot is there). One other thing, the balcony is toward a small alley, might be typical in Barcelona, but you could hear everyone talk and yell, besides inhaling their smoke :-)

We chose this destination because it was outside of the main tourist area, and we were looking for a slower-paced accommodation. The location of this apartment made it easy to get on the Metro (7 min walk) and get to the main tourist areas within 15-30 minutes. The host Laura was readily available via text and helpful in every way.
The accommodations are comfortable, quiet and well maintained, and the neighborhood is relaxed, friendly and uncrowded. The apartment has both a washer and a separate dryer, and the dryer works well. The kitchen comes with a single cup Nespresso machine, toaster, hot pot, microwave as well as full refrigerator and stove. There are many market options within a few minutes' walk to stock up on kitchen foods/essentials.
The Makus cafeteria/cafe near the apartment at Carrer de Ricart 24 was our favorite for coffee and pastries, and it also sells takeaway sandwiches.
Nothing that we didn't like, but here are a few tips:
We took an Uber from the airport to the apartment for about 43 euros (mid-day, weekday).
The apartment is up two flights of stairs. There is another Apt. 2 after the first flight of stairs, but that is not the right apartment. Keep going! (There is also a small elevator).
We purchased the T-usual Metro subway tickets, as suggested by Laura, which made our public transportation experience easy. The Metro in Barcelona is excellent--clean, dependable and efficient.
We struggled with the restaurant options around the apartment. The Cap I Cua was the best of the ones that we tried.
The two bathrooms are not stocked with shampoo/conditioner.

Nice, modern and really clean apartment. Friendly and very helpful staff, answered all of our questions quickly, helped with all of our silly problems were really flexible.
