Stylish Yale Wooster Square Downtown Laundry

It was great that the location was close to downtown without being in a congested area! The unit was spacious and the smart lock was easy to operate and reliable.

There were some remnants of cleaning on the ground when we came in, like bits of cardboard scrap or something that hadn't been properly vacuumed/swept up. Not a huge deal, just something to note. Also not a big deal, but the shower curtain had about a 1-inch hole right in the center of it, could be from the last guests for all we knew. One last thing... the TV was of decent quality and had a nice selection of apps, but it was simply mounted too high. There's no need for it to be up there and it's ergonomically bad for everyone's neck, regardless of the height of the person. Ideally, the top of the TV should meet your eye level but in this case even the bottom of the TV was well above that. I was tempted to post on the subreddit r/TVTooHigh but restrained myself. :) I hope none of this comes off too nit-picky or critical, I just want to give good feedback to help make your next guests stay as great as possible. This was generally a really lovely stay!

The apartment is attractive, spacious and conveniently located.

Unfortunately, the quality of communication with the host and the complete lack of meaningful assistance were more than disappointing and entirely inconsistent with the standard this property promotes. There was no hair dryer, even though it was—and remained—listed among the amenities on Booking.com. The host initially arranged to order one, then cancelled the order and told me I would have to pay for it myself. When I refused because it was included in the listing, I was asked to provide screenshots. After I emailed clear evidence, the host acknowledged that I was right but claimed that a hair dryer was nevertheless not intended to be provided in this particular apartment. They again said they would order one, but it was never delivered. The frying pans were unsuitable for use because their non-stick coating was extensively damaged. I reported this together with the missing hair dryer, but the host completely ignored the issue and offered no replacements. There was also no toaster, although it too was listed among the amenities. This would normally be too minor to mention, but here it formed part of a broader pattern of advertised items being unavailable and concerns being disregarded. During our short-term stay, I also received a message about a scheduled monthly pest-control visit, asking whether I would be home or would authorize entry in my absence. While routine pest control may be necessary, I found scheduling it during a guest’s stay intrusive. Non-urgent maintenance should ideally be arranged between bookings so that guests can enjoy their privacy. The apartment itself has considerable potential, but attractive interiors and a good location do not create a stylish experience on their own. Responsive communication, accurate information about amenities and a genuine effort to resolve basic problems are equally important. In these respects, the service fell far below the standard advertised.
