Melbourne Riverside Retreat

Excellent location, very spacious apartment, well-equipped kitchen, heritage building

Dark, somewhat rundown interior (though with blinding overhead halogen lights, one with just a bare bulb), badly in need of a reno. Difficult to use wifi and television with zero instructions. Awkward to use rundown shower over bathtub. Paper thin towels. Building bans non-residents from using the pool and gym. No air conditioning during hot days so could be insufferable in summer. Have to be careful opening windows as the vent from the cafe pumps out greasy bacon all morning. Insufficient instructions for checkout such as what to do with rubbish.

Location was amazing, and communication with the hosts was A1

the small of the bacon from the cafe downstairs... it was teasing us and we wanted to eat it for breaky :-)

Fantastic location, comfy and yet nice-looking place, literally above a nice cafe, in close proximity to restaurants, shops, and the downtown area. The heating was good, with heaters in all rooms. Could not have been happier.

Nothing at all.
