Drinks available including bar. Beautiful location with owl sat on fence each evening on way back up the drive.
The room was basic however as expected for a Youth Hostel. No complaints.

Easy check in, clean room, spacious car park, good location for hiking Kinder Scout and the Great Ridge.
Extremely cold room (no. 17) even though the radiator was on all night. We had to use all spare duvets in the room to try to keep warm - along with a blanket we had luckily bought from home and jumpers.
Womens showers very poor compared to other YHAs, in need of updating. Also very cold, radiator not working. Had to use the men’s toilets in the middle of the night as they were warmer. Push button showers not very hot, not the best after a cold day on the hills.
In need of some TLC compared to other YHAs.
