Host My Nest - Historic 1BR 20 Mins to Stansted

I was self catering because I needed early breakfast. The location was great I was on a training course which was 10 minutes walk shops pubs and restaurants were all very close. The kitchen facilities were great so I could cook evening meals and prepare pack up lunches.

For some reason I couldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi after about 5 attempts I gave up my phone and IPad would not recognise the server name. The tv didn’t work either because it had no internet connection. I didn’t desperately need either so went without but would have been nice to have them.

Host my nest is very clean inside & has a beautiful bathroom. The bedroom has a comfortable double bed & plenty of storage for a short stay. Great location on a street with many independent shops, cafes & restaurants. Although the property is near a pub, noise wasn't an issue. Sawbridgeworth is a beautiful small town well located for exploring north Essex - Thaxted, Finchingfield, Saffron Walden as well as Henry Moore's house & garden at Perry Green. If you like gardens & sculptures, The Gibberd Garden in Harlow is beautiful.

The shared entrance to the apartment is tatty; the hall & stairs need a jolly good sweep & vacuum. The lounge, is sparsely furnished & could do with a couple of side tables/coffee table. The kitchen was poorly equipped & we frequently lost internet connection. The owner has assured me that the entrance will be cleaned; the Internet will be fixed; & more kitchen equipment will be provided. If this is done, Host my nest will be a vert good place to stay.

Perfect place to stay. So close to our daughter. Couldn’t ask for more. Our host was great at keeping touch and Sawbridgeworth is a lovely village.

Slightly tight on the parking but it was fine. So good to have a parking space included. Could benefit from a blind in the kitchen but wasn’t a problem.

Perfect location, super spacious with great amenities! Bed was very comfy.
