The perfect retreat

We loved the whole property! The hot tub was just perfect.

Amazing!

The property was very clean, warm, comfortable, and had great facilities especially the hot tub, which I absolutely loved. On our stayed was raining on both nights but because the hot tub is set under the shade it’s allowed us to enjoy it without any issue. I booked this place at the very last minute, in the morning for a same-day afternoon check-in, due to an unexpected issue with my original plans. It was my partner’s birthday, so I needed to quickly find a replacement. I was so lucky to find this place, and the owner was amazing for accepting my last-minute request to arranging a birthday setup. Everything was perfect. I can’t recommend this place enough, and we will definitely be back. Thank you so much!

Outstanding Shepard’s hut with thoughtful touches

Absolutely stunning Shepard’s hut. The finishing and attention to details made it feel very luxurious. We loved the actor the hot tub and stunning views of the sky and nature. Andy and Naomi were very welcoming and great hosts. Lovely little touches like fresh eggs from their chickens, bottle of fizz on arrival and accommodating with parking of additional car. Such a relaxing and peaceful place to stay.

Wasn’t big enough for our 4person family. And other guests in other part were very loud with music and rowdiness till 4.30am :(

A relaxing couple of days away

On arrival we were given fresh eggs from the farm, fresh flowers and a bottle of bubbly. Lovely touches! We would recommend this retreat to anyone. The setting was lovely, the hot tub relaxing and the fire warming. Was lovely watching the sunsets too. The only things that we would recommend are: A freezer section in the fridge Blinds on the door and windows All in all a great couple of days away! The owners are fab.

Lovely short break, in a relaxing environment

We had a lovely stay, the site was very secure and the accommodation warm and cosy. The hot tub was a very welcome addition after a long day out and the hosts (and dogs) were very friendly without being intrusive.

There wasn't really anything that we didn't like at all (we will almost certainly aim to go back at some point!). A couple of observations for other visitors though - There isn't a TV, which is actually quite refreshing but worth being aware of! The fridge doesn't have a freezer section, so ice from a supermarket if you need it in a G&T...

The perfect getaway

There was nothing not to like about our stay. Shepherd’s retreat is the perfect getaway The accommodation was exceptional, very comfortable and extremely clean. The hosts made us feel very welcome, nothing too much trouble. The weather was cold during our stay so we took full advantage of the hot tub after shopping and lunch in Newark which is only a very short drive away. We would highly recommend.
