Everything. It was a lovely place to stop. We will definitely be back it was so peaceful. The cottage was very well equipped, even having an air fryer which speeded up mealtime considerably. Also it had the comfiest bed and bedding we have ever had when on holiday we slept really well.

Lovely location in a quiet, picturesque English village
Plenty to do nearby (forests, lakes, National Trust sites)
Nice welcome touch with fresh bread, butter, and local milk
The property does not match the photos – the listing shows a modern, clean interior, but in reality the decor and furniture are quite dated
Kitchen was not as clean as expected
The “private garden” is very small and feels somewhat misleading
Limited privacy: windows overlook the main house’s garden, and the annex is connected by a thin (locked) door, so noise carries through
Log burner was difficult to use as the wood seemed damp and wouldn’t properly light
Very weak mobile signal in the area
Broadband speed was extremely slow (around 4 Mbps down / 0.5 Mbps up)
