Blue Bird Lodge

It was a lovely stay, I appreciated the little set up for our fur babies. They were welcomed and included. Views and property were beautiful. Had lots of fun as a couple with the games & movies with popcorn provided. It was comfortable although off grid. Big flat yard to run around in with the dogs. However there was another dog at the neighbors property fence line, just a note to anyone who may book with unsocial babies.

The view, have never stayed over in Valley of 1000 hills - was spectacular.

Weather was limiting outdoor activities, but other sights made up for it.

Absolutely stunning place. The view is incredible. Off the grid, so it's good for time away to just decompress. They have a huge yard that's great for pets. I will definitely be bringing my fur babies the next time. The apartment has the basic stuff. Love that they have DVD's .

Not sure whether there's a trick with the shower, but we did not get running hot water. It would be hot for a few seconds and then go cold. There's some spiders. But expected in the area

The solitude. The location, calm and serene. The views, breathtaking. The roads, windy and awe inspiring. The nature and wildlife.

A minor frustration but having to lock and unlock the gate to the property. A pet peeve at best. Other considerations are the geyser is a gas geyser so steaming showers are not really an option. Could also be that I didnt know how to use it to get maximum heat. The gas leaked from the center stove which made it unusable. Something Im sure the owners will look into if they dont already know about it. The sugar container would be better suited to be replaced with something air tight. The ants were having a party carrying away little cubes. Otherwise for me it was perfect.
