Make yourself at home. If anything comes up, we're a quick message away.

The Neighborhood:

You're in the heart of NW Portland โ€” one of the most walkable neighborhoods in the city, and one of the best for eating and drinking your way through a trip.

NW 23rd Avenue is a few blocks away with restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques lining both sides of the street. Salt & Straw is right on 23rd for Portland's famous handmade ice cream. Ringside Steakhouse is a Portland institution โ€” old-school and worth every penny. Bamboo Sushi keeps things lighter with sustainably sourced rolls and great cocktails.

Powell's City of Books is a short walk away โ€” it's the world's largest independent bookstore and takes up an entire city block. Even if you're not a big reader, it's one of those Portland things you have to see.

When you want to get outside, Forest Park offers miles of trails through forested scenery. The Japanese Garden and International Rose Test Garden are both nearby in Washington Park. And if you're visiting during soccer season, Providence Park is walking distance for Timbers and Thorns matches.

A few of our favorites nearby:

๐Ÿฆ Salt & Straw โ€” inventive seasonal ice cream (expect a line โ€” worth it)

๐Ÿฅฉ Ringside Steakhouse โ€” a Portland classic since 1944

๐Ÿฃ Bamboo Sushi โ€” sustainable sushi and cocktails

๐Ÿ“š Powell's City of Books โ€” an entire city block of books

๐ŸŒฒ Forest Park โ€” urban hiking to explore

โšฝ Providence Park โ€” catch a Timbers or Thorns match

NW Portland has its own personality โ€” tree-lined streets, historic homes, and a neighborhood feel without sacrificing any of the restaurants and nightlife. Bus lines connect you with downtown; plan your routes around what you'd like to explore.

Getting Around:

๐Ÿšถ Walking โ€” The Nob Hill / Alphabet District is one of Portland's most walkable neighborhoods. NW 23rd and NW 21st avenues are lined with restaurants, boutiques, cafes, and bars to explore.

๐ŸšŒ Bus โ€” TriMet Route 15 (Belmont/NW 23rd) runs along NW 23rd Avenue with service toward downtown; check current stops and schedules.

๐Ÿšฒ Biking โ€” Check BIKETOWN for current bike-share locations and plan a route that suits your trip.

๐Ÿš— Driving โ€” Street parking is available (read signs for time limits and meters). Rideshare pickup times vary.

โœˆ๏ธ Airport โ€” Plan your PDX trip around current traffic or transit schedules.

Other Things to Note:

โ€ข This unit is on the second and third floor of a classic Portland building. Entry requires climbing one full flight of narrow, steep exterior stairs.

โ€ข The lower unit is separately rented and does not share any indoor spaces.

The property manager told us that we hadn't paid and it took us three tries to get our entry code. We had paid in full 4 months before. The location is great. The bathrooms need work. Mold in one and woobly toilet seats.
