About this house rental

Full of original character and history, this 1600s cottage with stone floors and low ceilings is set among 10 acres of nature. Two king rooms (one ensuite) and a twin, bathroom and separate shower room, snug, living room with wood burner, and fully equipped kitchen diner, fast internet, washing machine, solar-fed central heating, private deck with 6 person hot tub (extra cost), shared estate gardens, parking for 2 cars. Not suitable for guests with mobility difficulties.

Wonderful place to stay! Very peaceful setting, and the house was stocked with everything we needed. Very sweet owners. Great place for a group of people traveling too and close to everything in Stirling. The hot tub was also excellent. We would definitely come back!

Host was great.House was clean.Kitchen was very accommodating.Stairs were not easy for elderly or limited mobility.Property was very relaxing with walking trails and quietness of nature.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. The cottage was exactly as described and the owner made us feel very welcome. The location is very quiet and secluded yet very close to Stirling. I hope to visit again and I would highly recommend Powis House to anyone looking for a top quality place to stay.

The Powis House Lodge is a refurbished older property that is quirky yet well proportioned. The beds are comfortable and the hot tub is excellent. The rental is good overall however some attention to small details could improve the stay, such as kindling or fire starters for the fireplace or an information book containing directions (location of switch for towel heater etc). The location is convenient for visiting sites and the combination of the hot tub and the fireplace make for a relaxing end to the day.
