Claytor Lake is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts and is perfect for water sports, hiking, and bird watching. The property is conveniently located near the New River Trail State Park, a popular spot for hiking, biking, and horseback riding. For those who enjoy exploring local towns, Pulaski is just a short drive away and features unique shops, restaurants, and local attractions. The very quiet neighborhood has a private road with little traffic and is conveniently located within 6 minutes of Exit 98 of Interstate 81. The house sits directly on Claytor Lake with a dock for your own private access to the water. Only 30 minutes to Virginia Tech and 20 minutes to Radford University, and less than 15 minutes from Claytor Lake State Park. There are many wineries and breweries throughout the area. The area is great for a summer lake vacation, a fall get-away to enjoy the beautiful fall colors, or a peaceful winter retreat.
All areas of the house, decks, and dock are open for access to guests. The dock is available for use by renters and their guests for sun-bathing and swimming, there is space for renters to dock their own boat.
This property has a brand new fire pit for guests to enjoy year around! We ask that guests bring their own fire-wood prior to their arrival.
The house boasts 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, accommodating up to 9 guests. The main bedroom features a queen-sized bed and breathtaking views of the lake, while the second bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed, perfect for families traveling with children. The third bedroom is furnished with a full-sized bed and the fourth bedroom is furnished with a queen-sized bed, also overlooking the lake.
The living room is tastefully furnished with comfortable seating, a large flat-screen TV, and a cozy fireplace, perfect for relaxing after a day spent on the lake. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare delicious meals and features a dining table that seats up to six guests.
This property has a brand new fire pit for guests to enjoy year around! We ask that guests bring their own fire-wood prior to their arrival.
You're less than 10 minutes from I-81. There is a public boat lunch & marina just a few miles away! Parking is available in the driveway of the house.
The dock is just a short walk from the house and can be seen from the deck of the house. You'll just need to walk down the hill to get to it.
PLEASE put the dog into the crate to ensure no accidents or damages occur to the home while you are not present with your animal.

1. There MAY BE a propane tank available at the house.
2. If you see a tank, you may use it for the grill.
3. If the tank is empty, guests are responsible for refilling it.

-To allow us the opportunity to assist promptly, we kindly ask that any issues or concerns at the property be reported during your stay whenever possible. Issues reported after check-out may not be entertained.
-Please note that during the summer months, non-venomous black snakes may occasionally be present around the property due to the natural environment. While they are generally harmless, we would like to make you aware for your comfort and safety.
-Lost Item Return Policy: If you leave an item behind and would like us to ship it back to you, a return fee will apply to cover the handling and shipping process. Please contact us as soon as possible if you believe you have left an item at the property.
Seasonal Stink Bug Notice
Please be aware that stink bugs are common in the area during certain seasons, and you may occasionally see them inside the home during this time. While we understand they can be an inconvenience, their seasonal presence is largely outside of our control.
We do have quarterly pest control treatments performed at the property as part of our regular maintenance and prevention efforts. However, these treatments cannot completely prevent stink bugs from entering the home during peak season.
We appreciate your understanding and recommend keeping doors and windows closed when possible to help minimize their entry.

Overall the property was effective and as expected as advertised in the listing. It is a great property to be directly near the water and have lake/boat access.The biggest issue we had was contacting the owner to have problems resolved. Unfortunately they use a management company where calls are fielded over seas and you have to talk to at least 3-4 different persons before something is done.Upon arrival we could not gain access to one of the bedrooms as the door was locked and the handle just spun and spun, the door was also jammed at the top. It took hours until we finally got someone to come out and partially fix the issue (they had to come back the next day to finish, cutting into our vacation time). We also found that a few of the bedrooms were not properly cleaned and the bed linens were astrewn. The kitchen/living space was not well cleaned either. Coffee left in the coffee machine. Garbage/obvious debri in the kitchen drawers etc. Floor was not well cleaned either.We had to spend the first day and a half of our vacation cleaning and doing laundry etc before we could enjoy the space. We highly recommend they look into a new cleaning agency etc.

My family and I stayed for a 4-day weekend, the house is lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting out on the porch, the views are beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.The house was clean and the process was smooth and easy!

This house was perfect for me and my friends. Very clean and decent location. Also the gated porch was perfect for hanging out and having my dog. Had everything we needed from toiletries to kitchen gadgets. We will be returning!!
