About this house rental
Plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy this kiwi bach. Only a handful of homes are right on the water in Whitianga- and this is one, where your lawn leads to the sand.
The space
Welcome to viewing our charming beachfront bach, nestled along the pristine shores of Mercury Bay where the gentle rhythm of the waves serves as your daily soundtrack.
Extensive decks allow you to capture the sun or shade as you desire, putting your feet up, or playing volleyball or cricket on the grass or sand. Throw a rod from the lawn or beach and try your luck for fresh fish for dinner. Watch the ocean come alive from your morning coffee through to an evening drink, you won't have to move from the section. It is a very safe spot for swimming.
A perfect set-up for multigenerational families or friends travelling together looking for some separation of space.
The spacious bach is well set up for plenty of people to find their own space, as well as a well-equipped and roomy kitchen. Dine at either the dining room table, inside or out. Upstairs is master bedroom (and ensuite), plus 3 other bedrooms and bathroom. Downstairs has a master bedroom (and ensuite), plus another bedroom.
Inside has a warm fire, wall heaters and oil heaters for those snug winter nights. Both en suites have heated towel rails.
Whitianga has an array of quality restaurants (can provide recommendations), and The Lost Spring is not to be missed. An easy and scenic 2km stroll to town, and some beautiful walks and tramps.

TV in main lounge
DVD player (with TV) in single bed room
Washing machine
Dryer
Dishwasher
Stereo
Hairdryers
Outside shower (cold)
3 stable kayaks for guest use
Surf boards/boogie boards
Life jackets
No WIFI (you won't need it)
* Linen can be provided for $30 per person.
** The front section is not fenced for your pets, they will be able to run onto the beach for a swim.
*** If your dates are not available, feel free to get in touch as we may have booked this for our personal use and we are flexible with dates.
**** Can book just 2 bedrooms as upstairs (x4 beds) can be locked, allowing full use of downstairs. Please enquire.
Guest access
The whole house and section is yours to enjoy. Only the garage will not be available.
Other things to note
Linen options:
We provide as standard: covered duvets & pillows, spare blankets, mattress protectors, bathmats, hand towels, tea towels and dishcloths.
For other linen there are two options:
1) You can either bring your own bed sheets and facecloths & towels.
2) Linen can be provided for $30 per person.
Please add a message upon reservation stating which option is preferred.

Clean and welcoming! Was ample of room for our group of 11, great outdoor space with the beach right on the doorstep. Easy access to town and the weather was perfect. What an amazing spot! Julie was great to deal with, easy to reach and gave great instructions.

Just what we wanted and needed.9 mums with young children desperate for a getaway from family life and to celebrate a 40th birthday that is coming up in early Jan. Harder to get everyone together so we did it early.The house was perfect and had everything we needed.

Situated right on the beach, not far from town. Large living and kitchen area suited our extended family. Amply room for off street parking for a number of vehicles and a boat. No shortage of eating utensils and plates. Large frig, plus washing machine and dryer. Six bedrooms and four extra sleeping mattresses. Although it turned out to be a wet weekend there were plenty of games played and one jigsaw puzzle completed. The fire made us all feel cosy. A wonderful long weekend stay.

The closeness to the beach is the main attraction. We were also happy we could all - ten of us - eat the dinners outside. The house is well-appointed and has a typical kiwi batch feel to it.
