About this apartment rental
The "Gästezimmer Beim Posthalter" is located in Oberammergau and offers beautiful views of the Alps. This connected unit on the 3rd floor (no elevator) is always rented to one travel group only: 2 double rooms with one double bed each, a shared bathroom in the hallway, a TV room, and a lounge with access to a private balcony. Wi-Fi and TV are available. The 90 m² property accommodates 2 to 4 guests. During the winter months (October through April), we only rent the "König-Max-II" double room with exclusive use of the hallway bathroom. Please make sure the number of guests and ages are entered correctly before booking.
Public transport is within walking distance. After dining at local restaurants and exploring the shops, you should catch an impressive show at the Passion Theater and then rent a bike to discover the picturesque Ammergau Alps Nature Park. Don’t miss the fantastic hiking opportunities in this stunning area!
A parking space is available in a garage. Pets, smoking, and events are not permitted. This property follows recycling policies.

Our family appreciated the unique layout of this historical property, especially the wonderful front balcony over the downtown. Beds were comfortable and we could walk to many restaurants and bakeries. Hosts were very friendly and offered little extras like waters, juices and beer from the family brewery.

The city location was a delight. The lodging is very old with countless steps. If I had known we would be lodging on the third floor with no elevator I would have chosen a different place. We were traveling with my 90 year old mother. Communication with the host was difficult when we arrived. We could not connect with her on the phone number provided. Later on she was a delight to visit with.
