Welcome to our cozy 3 bedroom camp situated on the beautiful Amite River, affectionately referred to as Maw Maw & Paw Paw's Camp. On the inside, you will find 3 comfortable queen sized beds, providing space for up to 6 guests. The camp also features 1 bathroom, perfect for getting refreshed and ready for a day of fishing or relaxation. Speaking of fishing, you will have access to the river right outside your doorstep, perfect for catching some great cat fish. Enjoy your morning coffee or a good book on our cozy balcony rocking chairs. For those who want to explore the river, we have a kayak and paddle board available for your use. In the evenings, gather on the dock and watch the sunset over the river, making unforgettable memories with your loved ones. When you are ready to explore the area, you will find the Blind River Bar and a variety of fantastic restaurants just a short drive away. Excellent host, very quick to respond.This was a great experience and one that we will do again. We had several unexpected happenings, but we still enjoyed ourselves. The house/camp could use some work, not fully as it looked in the pictures. The location is almost the end of the road so the boating traffic can get overwhelming when fishing. Early morning and late evenings were the best as the peace and quiet were refreshing.We enjoyed dinner at the local bar and grill…excellent food. And cooked the remaining days on the grill. It needed to be cleaned and need to be maintained, but worked well enough to not have to stand over a stove. My family made memories to last a lifetime.Unless the kayaks and boards are cleaned up, don’t bet to use them. They were full of water, dirt and wasp. They have not been used or moved in some time so we did not trust them.

A simple little cabin on the waterfront. The host communicates very well and has a good relationship with the neighbor, Mr. Byron who also offered to help in any way he could to make your stay enjoyable. We enjoyed the outdoor space especially.
