I thought it was a guesthouse, but more like an air b&b where let yourself in. Lacked warmth because of no contact with staff. Parking a bit tricky to work out.

A hotel with potential but at present unfit for purpose.

Large clean pleasant room and bathroom.

Accessibility: Due to major roadworks the sat nav could not find the hotel and no directions were available. We were advised by telephone to use Google but we are not fully familiar with it which added to the delay. The car park for the hotel was incorrectly shown as closed and the paid for parking ticket was not provided. As yet we have not been reimbursed. Getting from there to the hotel involved detouring around roadworks and crossing dug up roads and footpaths. This would be inaccessible to anyone with impaired mobility. No one to provide assistance. The room was booked as having air-conditioning. It did not. This was during the heatwave and we are potentially vulnerable. There were no staff at the hotel at any point during our arrival day. Telephone calls were redirected to a form of text. No information was provided regarding access issues and roadworks and the guidance on codes for entry to the hotel and room was not sent at the promised time. It did arrive when we requested help while lost in roadworks. Roadworks noise from outside the hotel started at 5:45am. Communications from the hotel management on these matters were either non existent, unhelpful or rude. We left early.

Nice room. Stay ruined by shoddy staff

Location was ok, room was strange but fine, getting in and parking spoiled our whole experience and left us feeling miserable and exhausted.

This is not a hotel. It’s a collection of Air BnB type rooms. We couldn’t drive Ito the courtyard as only one gate opens, so unloading is awkward. Be warned if you stay on the first floor - you have no privacy at all. We arrived to a couple going hammer and tongs as we went up to the second floor to drop our bags and try to find the pre-paid parking ticket. When it was nowhere to be found, we called and messaged but no response from the contact. After half an hour we gave up, went and parked anyway. By this time we were too late to find somewhere for dinner, so picnicked in our room. Not ideal. Some time later we got a message saying the car parking ticket was in the back of the top drawer. In fact it was cheaper paying for our own ticket, so don’t bother pre-paying. Less stressful too.

Place was good and location was excellent

Dreadful and misleading parking information. It says garage and they mean public parking off site. Breakfast? Forget it. They try to quantify breakfast with a croissant and some preserves. Utter laziness. Booking.com have no idea that this place is poorly described.

Totally unsuitable for an overnight stay with a car, no parking and noisy.

This property doesn't work for an overnight stay with a car. We attempted directly with Charlene & via bookings.com 2 weeks ahead of our stay to book a car park and breakfast. Neither were ever confirmed. We were also not advised about the substantial road closures and road works which meant a very delayed and difficult approach to the property. When we arrived the secure car park advised to us by Charlene was closed. Wd called her to seek an alternative, but she would only respond to a text and basically told us she had no other suggestions. She also said she hadn't got a breakfast request for us from bookings.com, despite them advising us they had made it. Also the room was very noisy , party goers leaving a gig in the town square kept us awake until 1am them a loud fight broke out across the road at 3am and the road works started ups at 6am. This is hopeless if you have a long drive planned as we and 2 of your other guests did. They were equally unimpressed as they understood you had parking on site.

Le Mans was brilliant, the room was comfortable but let down by parking and access issues.

Close to heritage site.

Advertised parking but there was no access to parking for guests. The stair access to our room was very narrow and a challenge to carry luggage up and down from.

Slow on communication when issues - like given the wrong code to get in the door, no parking ticket to find, and bathroom not clean.

Difficult to access

Like: The room was large and v comfy bed. Nice shower and v quiet overnight. Well located for old town Dislike: Check-in was awful. There are major road works directly outside so no possible to drive the car into the courtyard (which we were not advised of before hand despite booking parking). Then the gate was locked and the telephone access code supplied did not work and we were in the process of calling the property when the gate was kindly opened for us by another guest. Having retrieved the room key from the key safe, we then had great difficulty unlocking the door, compounded by the door knob falling off! When I called the property managers for assistance, they implied it was our fault and stated the door knob was not broken! Despite photographic evidence it was. Eventually we did manage to get into the room and we sorted a temporary fix on the door knob. However we still had the issue of not being able to get back in the main gate if we went out for dinner. The solution for the property was to leave it ajar, which seemed less than ideal, given the door to the building is not locked and eventually they agreed we would phone them on our return from dinner if we could not get back in. As it turned out, the gate had blown wide open, so no problem, but not great in terms of building security. The property managers assured us they will be getting a locksmith to address these issues, but that did not help us during our stay. All of the above made our stay more stressful than it should have been. V quiet overnight, but roadworks started about 8.30 - so no lie in as v noisy!

Le Henri II? NEVER!

Nothing! The arrogant, combative, owner made the entire experience a nightmare.

I will be seeking a full refund. It was the worst experience I have ever had. The room was ice cold, the TV wouldn't work, the wifi wouldn't connect, and the checkout time was 10:AM! The owner refused to assist with heating, TV, wifi, or security. The room was a walk-in freezer!

La chambre en face de la notre était occupée par des dizaines de jeunes qui nous ont empeché de 22h30 à 6h30 du matin de dormir, va et vient permanent dans l'escalier, musique à fond apparemment boissons et nous avions notre petite fille de 6 ans qui bien sur était apeurée,c'était une nuit horrible, nous n'avons jamais connu cela chez booking.il serait souhaitable de votre part un remboursement ou un avoir. Espérons une suite favorable, nous sommes clients depuis longtemps. Cordialement Mr Me Boissel

L’emplacement est parfait, la chambre est grande, fonctionnelle et joliment décorée . L’accès y est facile grâce au nombreux messages de l’établissement.

La poignée de la porte de la chambre m’est restée dans la main, il faut fermer le robinet d’arrêt de la chasse d’eau pour que ça ne coule pas en permanence, et le fonctionnement de la télé qui n’est pas des plus simple !

Un séjour absolument parfait dans un hôtel de luxe où tout, du service au cadre, était exceptionnel!

J’ai passé un moment absolument incroyable dans cet hôtel. Tout était parfait : le service attentionné, le confort des chambres, et l’ambiance élégante et apaisante. Chaque détail était soigné, et le personnel a vraiment fait la différence par sa gentillesse et son professionnalisme. Je repars des étoiles plein les yeux — un vrai petit coin de paradis que je recommande à 100 % !

Lovely property and great location.

Location comfortable bed, decor and the building itself.

The major roadworks outside the property were a nuisance but not the owner’s fault of course. The room was a little cool as the heating did not appear to be on and was disappointed to find there was no code to be found for the free WiFi.

Top locatie in het centrum. Ruime kamer en badkamer. Ingericht in een mooie oude stijl, met hoge plafonds en krakende vloeren. Prachtig.

Was niet mogelijk om te ontbijten omdat het een guest house is, zonder receptie en restaurant. Hadden we niet goed gelezen toen we boekten.
