-Clean, modern apartment: very small, but perfect for 1 person. Especially liked the occasional furniture on wheels that could be stashed away under the TV when not needed. And SO MUCH STORAGE, if you have a bunch of stuff. -GREAT internet - 600Mbps, very much appreciated! -Samsung TV is awesome, also has Airplay to watch your own programming from your own device. -Claro TV has a lot of English-language programming, just press the green button to alternate between languages and turn off subtitles. -Shower is awesome- hot and STRONG. -Building is gorgeous, modern, and secure. The face recognition at the door never failed once. Easy entry to apartment via code = nothing to carry. Front desk attendant 24/7, also an outdoor security guy 24/7. -Firm memory foam mattress is DIVINE. -Panini grill was much appreciated late in the evening, when there was nothing open in the neighbourhood. Bring sandwich supplies!

-AC doesn’t really work well. Kinda low-key felt hot in there the whole time. -THERE IS NO LAUNDRY FOR FOREIGNERS!! The laundry is run by OMO, which requires an app, and NONE of my cards worked for it: 4 American, and 2 Irish. Seems to only accept Brazilian national cards. HUGE bummer for me, I needed to wash pretty much everything when I arrived there. There are several laundry services near, but they are INSANELY expensive- like one small bag of laundry was US$30 at Mariamélia a block away. The 5 à Sec across the street charges US$8 a shirt!! -TBQH there isn’t much in the area. There’s one miserable Pão de Açucar for groceries a few minutes away, quite overpriced, a mess, and the employees couldn’t GAF. There’s a Dia, with a bunch of empty shelves, and super-poor quality product, and not a whole lot more. It’s very much a quiet residential area. -Not near ANY metrô or train lines. You’re stuck with overcrowded and overcomplicated buses. I feel like this may be on purpose for Vila Nova Conceição. Uber to a nearby station is about US$6. -West-facing unit. Keep that flimsy shade closed during the day, the sun BEATS thru those floor-to-ceiling windows, even now in Winter. I suggest you admire the cityscape after dark.

Local excelente, muito bem localizado, bonito, confortável, decoração linda, colchão muito bom e 4 travesseiros! Excelente.

O condomínio é bom

Vidros da cozinha não isolam o som e se houve o tempo todo os aviões e som de rua. E se sente uma leve brisa de vento a entrar. O afastamento da cama da parede também torna desagradável o encosto. E no último dia não havia água para banho.
