Sacro e Profano Albania

Fantastisk hyggelig sted m hyggelig familie som drev det. Ble møtt m hygger når vi ankom sent på kvelden og ble servert særs hyggelig frokost m ingredienser som besto i stor grad av egne råvarer.

The accommodation provided at Sacro e Profano is lovely. From the staff to the rooms and the views, everything is exceptional. The staff is really accommodating and they make everything they can to make you feel like at home. The views are stunning too, it feels like you’re in the middle of the Italian Toscana. We also had dinner there to celebrate my birthday and it was lovely, and the food was exquisite. Breakfast is included in your stay, which was great too, a lot of food was served. The restaurant area is really clean and comfortable, luxury feel. You’re also welcomed by few cats and dogs, special mention to Choco, a little cheeky cat.

The rooms have a ventilator on the ceiling but it gets a bit warm during the night and will benefit from having another fan or air conditioning.

This was such an amazing way of ending our very first holiday in Albania. The accommodation gives you absolute Toscana-feeling located at the top of the hill. We had dinner at their restaurant and our waiter was simply the best - he helped us choosing off the menu and even recommended changing up our initial choices after we said we trust his opinion. We loved being surrounded by all the cats and two little dog puppies who were an absolute joy having around us. We also asked upon arrival if it’s possible to have breakfast the next day even 30 minutes earlier before they’d even open as we needed to check out and head to the airport by 8am, which was no problem at all for them and we were served delicious breakfast before heading off. Thank you for this wonderful last day/evening in Albania!

The only thing I can think of is that it was a bit of a pity that we couldn’t have a conversation with the actual owner as he didn’t speak English and we didn’t speak Albanian or Italian.

La bâtisse est absolument magnifique, c’est un régal pour les yeux. Elle est également très bien située et facile d’accès. Tout le mobilier est d’excellent qualité et le lit est très confortable. Le personnel est agréable et à notre service. La cuisine est absolument incroyable et faite maison.

Nous n’avons pas aimé le manque d’isolation phonique et thermique de l établissement : les chambres sont situées au dessus de la terrasse du restaurant. Même avec la fenêtre fermée, on entend très très fort les clients toujours à table. Les bruits résonnent également partout dans le couloir, ce qui fait que nous avons très mal dormi tout notre séjour, surtout la deuxième nuit où les clients étaient extrêmement bruyants et infernaux. Nous avons aussi eu très chaud : il y a un ventilateur au plafond mais on dirait que les pierres du mur gardent la chaleur toute la journée, donc celui-ci n’est pas suffisant. D’autant plus qu’avec le bruit, il n’est pas possible de garder la fenêtre ouverte… À la fenêtre, il n’y a qu’un rideau très léger, qui ne permet ni de bloquer la lumière, ni la chaleur pendant la journée. Nous aurions également aimé avoir des chaises longues pour profiter de la terrasse la journée (nous n’avons pas demandé, donc je ne sais pas s’il y en a).
