Despite these issues, the Airbnb has a good location and good potential. If the host improves the check-in communication and upgrades some of these basic amenities, I believe this could easily become a 5-star Airbnb.

Our biggest issue was the check-in process. The host sent us an important message at 2:13 a.m. on the day of our check-in, less than 14 hours before our scheduled arrival. Since we were busy traveling that day, we missed the message. When we arrived at the Airbnb with our luggage, we discovered that we first had to complete a mandatory online form and submit our credit card and a photo of our driver's license before we could enter. We spent about 20 minutes standing outside the door completing all the required information. We also called the host four times before she answered. Altogether, we waited more than 30 minutes before we were finally able to get into the Airbnb. It would have been much better if these requirements had been sent at least 24 hours before check-in, so guests could complete everything comfortably ahead of time rather than standing outside with their luggage. A few other improvements would make the stay much more comfortable. A dishwasher would be very helpful for guests. The paper towels and toilet paper were also quite thin and low quality, and the bath towels were too small. Providing better-quality paper products and larger bath towels—something comparable to what is available at Costco—would be a relatively simple upgrade that guests would appreciate.

Extra monitor was great. Bed was firm and comfortable. Great location.

Sharing the space, someone was living upstairs. Sometimes you would hear the person up and walking or laundry in the early mornings

Great location between Greenlake and U-District. Nice, comfy property, perfect for a quick trip to Seattle.

There wasn’t a second set of bath towels that we could find.
