Welcome to your own light-filled birdhouse perched above lovely Green Lake. Located one block distance from the lake as well as a pitch & putt golf course. Take a short jaunt to local eateries, breweries, and cafes during your stay. This brand new and uniquely designed cottage loft is delicately decorated with functionality and comfort in mind.
Designed and custom built by the homeowners this property provides modern amenities in serene Green Lake neighborhood.

The entire cottage, as well as the patio, is for guests own enjoyment.
To be clear, this home does NOT have air conditioning (almost NO buildings-less than 5%- in Seattle have central air conditioning). However, this home does have a few ceiling fans and gets a lovely cross-breeze with the windows open. Smart HDTV's stream Pandora, as well as Hulu and Netflix (bring your own password and don't forget to log out!).
Green Lake neighborhood is one of the more desirable places to live in Seattle. With its quaint neighborhood eateries, cafes and lake walk you'll find many Seattlites enjoying the beautiful scenery on any given day. It is the place to go if you're looking for that "cute" neighborhood within a large city.
Bus #62 stops within 3 blocks from the property and will take guests downtown. Otherwise, we are a quick ride share to most visited landmarks within the city. Street parking is available on the residential street. Please be aware of driveways and parking signs.

This worked out nicely. The place is small, parking abundant and the Tangletown area of Green Lake is close by. I got coffee at Zoka Coffee Roasters each morning, and Aslan Brewing had good beer. Two heads up for families: (1) the main bed is under the loft beds so you are all in the same room while sleeping; and (2) the steps to the loft are very steep - almost ladder like. Our kids are big enough now but if they were a few years younger, I'd have been very uneasy with them sleeping up there.

Beautiful spot just a block away from green lake! I don’t spend that much time in the VRBO, but when I was there it was beautiful, comfortable, and provided a perfect hub to take several walks around green lake right next door. I love the setup with the second floor bedroom and bathroom and third floor extra bed. Very cute overall, I would absolutely stay here again, and it is very reasonably priced compared to similar but less interesting properties!

The Birdhouse, located in the Wallingford neighborhood and a short walk to Green Lake, was comfortable for my spouse and 7 year old. The owner lives in the same property and was very friendly and helpful.
