Flat by the Beach Voula

The flat is really comfortable and spacious. It's on the second floor, apt number 1. It has a nice and long balcony overlooking the busy main street with a view of the sea. There is a bus stop and tram stop right next to it. Large windows all around let in a lot of sunlight. The bed and other furniture is comfortable, there is plenty of clean and freshly washed towels, bed sheets to use. There is a kitchenette with a stove, an oven, two coffee makers, one for ground coffee, one for dolce gusto capsules (we didn't use them), and an electric kettle. There is also a fridge, small and battered, but it gets the job done. There is a pot, a sieve, a colander, glasses, a pan and cutlery and crockery. There is also a heater in the bathroom (you pull on the string for heating modes - third time to turn it off). There is also a washing machine (top-loaded) which we used once - very practical. The host is amazing, responds immediately to emails, was very accommodating and prepared the flat earlier than in the agreement which was extremely helpful. That was incredible. Everything was nice and clean. There was also a TV set (which we didn't use but it does work). There are also two AC vents and remotes to control them but we didn't use them. We also saw an ironing board and an iron, two laundry racks, blow dryers, a vacuum cleaner, etc. This does feel like at home more or less. We cooked our own meals for a week. Be careful - the water is VERY HOT. Scalding hot. You turn it on by switching the fuse/breaker (labelled HOT WATER) in the small fuse box panel right next to the door to the bathroom. The second fuse is for the oven/stove. There is wifi there and you get instructions about how to connect in an email from the host before arrives (with the code to the key locker as well).

This would be a 9 or 10 star review but the plumbing inside the building is old and unfortunately sometimes during the day or night there is a really nasty smell in the apartment. We kept the windows open all the time and sometimes had to close the bedroom door at night. Also the shower drain is kinda slow to take in the water. When you shower the water will spill on the bathroom floor and make puddles - but you simply can put a small tower there to soak it and then dry in on the rack out on the balcony. It's not a big deal. One of the night-lamps over the head of the bed was loose (ripped out from the plaster) and felt like it might fall off any time (it didn't).

Ωραία περιοχή με αρκετές ελεύθερες θέσεις πάρκινγκ. Θορυβώδης περιοχή λόγω της μεγάλης κίνησης των οχημάτων όμως το ξέραμε αυτό. Ωραία θέα από το μπαλκόνι. Είχε θέρμανση και ζεστό νερό. Καθαρό το διαμέρισμα αλλά για κάποιες λεπτομέρειες χάνει το 10.

Χρειάζεται μια ή περισσότερες κρεμαστρες στο μπάνιο για την πετσέτα. Δεν έχει. Η ντουλάπα θέλει καθάρισμα. Δεν λειτουργεί το ασανσέρ και το διαμέρισμα είναι στον δεύτερο.
