La Antica Veio is een zeer ruim appartement, van alle gemakken voorzien. De host is heel sympathiek. Én een goede basgitarist; we werden uitgerust op een concert van zijn band en hadden een geweldige avond, in de open lucht, met hapjes en drankjes en ondergaande zon, niet ver van Rome. En dat op de laatste avond voordat we Rome zullen binnenlopen (na ruim 2000 km te voet onderweg vanaf
Canterbury). Het appartement ligt dicht aan de Via Francigena en met drie of vier personen is dit een heel fijne plek om te overnachten.

Ottima soluzione di alloggio nella tranquilla zona di La Storta, ideale per chi desidera visitare Roma restando lontano dal caos del centro.
La casa è spaziosa, pulita e molto accogliente, perfetta per ospitare una famiglia o un gruppo di amici.
Gli ambienti sono curati, arredati con gusto e dotati di tutti i comfort: cucina attrezzata, ampio soggiorno, camere comode e bagno funzionale (con doccia e vasca da bagno).
La presenza di un piccolo spazio esterno è un valore aggiunto, soprattutto nelle giornate di sole.
Ottima anche l’accoglienza da parte dei proprietari, gentilissimi e disponibili.
La posizione può risultare un po’ scomoda per chi non dispone di un’auto, poiché i mezzi pubblici non sono facilmente raggiungibili a piedi.
Inoltre, trattandosi di un seminterrato, l’alloggio risulta poco luminoso durante il giorno.
Tuttavia, questi aspetti sono compensati dalla tranquillità della zona, dalla qualità complessiva dell’alloggio e dalla gentilezza dei proprietari.

The bed was good.
It was very cold in the room. When I said it got 2 degrees warmer. It just reached 18 degrees. Hot water only lasted a few minutes. What can be there in the summer, because I saw air conditioning in the apartment above it? The basement has no air conditioning. I think it will be 40 degrees in the summer. You can park on the street if there is a parking space. This is a basement where old people used to live. The equipment is outdated and confusing. The owners live on the floor above, walking, shuffling, and pulling chairs. You have to walk on the skin of two cows. When I arrived, they were mostly busy at the entrance, by chance. :-)
