Marko Apartment Ohrid

Very good location, in a quite residential area and not far (10min walk) from the lake and the old town centre. Room is big enough for 1-2 persons, with good amenities. The balcony is very cozy. Host was very kind and friendly, willing to help. Had a very nice 10-night stay here.

Payment is by cash only, so I withdrawn cash in denars from the nearby ATM. Would have been nicer to remind me of it a few days ahead before I depart, so I can take out cash (euro, if it's okay) in advance to avoid additional fees from my bank. The shower draining is a bit slow.

Lovely clean compact and modern apartment a short 10 minute or so walk to the main port area of Ohrid. We arrived by bus from Skopje and were met by Marija's father at the nearby Tamaro supermarket who walked us the short distance to the apartment. The apartment was just like the photos. We enjoyed relaxing on the balcony. If we needed some additional items, Marija and her father were quick to respond and bring them around. Close to the apartment is an excellent family run bakery (Feniks) which served fantastic burek and which appeared to be open 24 hours. The close by Tamaro supermarket was also very convenient. We were sorry to leave.

Everything was really good - Just a niggle - Shower was at times difficult to regulate (either too hot or too cold). Occasional everyday living noises from neighbouring apartments - which did not detract from our stay - but that's life and no big deal!
