The accommodation is wonderful. However, I accidentally left a high-risk medication in the refrigerator. Just one hour after checking out, I contacted the property to inform them that I had left the medication behind, and I was told that it had been thrown away.
At the very least, I believe I should have been contacted and informed that I had left a personal belonging behind. Unfortunately, I was not notified at all. This was extremely disappointing, especially considering that it was an important medication.
What I didn’t like was the way my forgotten medication was handled. I contacted the property only one hour after checkout, but I was informed that the medication had already been thrown away without anyone contacting me first. I believe guests should be informed before their belongings are discarded.
