Elegance & Cozy Apartment in the Centre of Athens

The apartment was spacious and comfortable, the host was very responsive and provided clear instructions. The flat had a lot of thoughtful details and many amenities, from the powerful hair dryer and quality toiletries to cotton swabs. It was very clean and the towels were nice and fluffy. It is not far from the historic center, just a few stops by public transportation. The AC works but cools off only the bedroom, kitchen remains hot. The price was good.

The area around the building, however, was unpleasant and unsafe. There are settlements of homeless people all around, garbage, smell of urine, etc. Also, neighborbors inside the building itself were very noisy, even at night, and you can hear all this noise in the apartment, unfortunately. So if you are a single female and/or sensitive to noise, you might think twice before booking this flat. I also didn't like how the host demanded and "expected a good rating" from me, by writing me multiple times about that, sometimes, multiple times a day. I understand the need to promote your business, but blunt chasing is not the way.

Estaba cerca del metro y a 15-20min andando del centro. Aire acondicionado y bañera. Ascensor, lavadora, secador, wifi, Netflix, Amazon prime (aunque si vas a Atenas igual hay mejores cosas que hacer que ver la tele) cerca de Bread Factory (24h comida para llevar)

Al llegar, el barrio nos causó una primera impresión algo negativa, ya que vimos algunas personas con comportamientos que nos hicieron sentir cierta inseguridad. Sin embargo, tras pasar 12 días alojados allí, nuestra experiencia fue muy diferente a esa impresión inicial. No tuvimos ningún incidente y acabamos moviéndonos por la zona con total tranquilidad, incluso a horas bastante tardías. En nuestro caso, la sensación inicial no se correspondió con lo que vivimos durante la estancia.

Clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and attentive. The apartment is a 20 minute walk to the center with a metro very close.

Location is a little sketchy. My taxi driver used a translator app to tell me that it wasn’t safe and I was followed by a man insisting I give him money on my way home one night. However, it’s close to the metro and city center. Might not recommend for a female traveler but beware of your surroundings and it’s probably fine.
