It is safe and quiet,we slept well. I can recommended this place for others even for me and my family should we plan to visit around Harrismith.

Entrance door does not close properly at the bottom,it leaves the open space which you can only see when you are inside at night, we ended up using a mat to gloce the gap.

The road is very bad.

It was neat and tidy and had everything we needed.

It was a very hot evening, but we couldn't get the aircon to work. No fans either. No burglar bars and I was afraid to sleep with the windows open. Did so anyways, because it was so hot

For a one night stay this accommodation is absolutely in order. We liked having a reliable internet and the TV with Netflix access.

It's all these little things that make the difference: Upon entering the accommodation, one is greeted by a slightly musty smell, which is best avoided. The pillowcases also didn't smell very pleasant and showed signs of wear (pilling), so we preferred to put a fresh towel over the pillow. The main bedroom has a bedside lamp, but it has a European plug without an adapter, making it unusable. The rooms have fluorescent tubes for ceiling lighting, which is manageable, but of course doesn't create a particularly pleasant atmosphere. While coffee sachets are thoughtfully provided in the kitchen, rooibos tea would have been very welcome for caffeine-sensitive guests, but unfortunately, it wasn't available. The two-burner cooktop is completely rusted. While it's certainly still usable, this also suggests a lack of TLC (Tender, Love & Care). Body wash is provided in the shower, but shampoo was missing. Just a small thing that could easily be added. There was no hand soap in the separate toilet, even though there was an empty wall-mounted soap dispenser and an empty hand soap dispenser next to the toilet. All in all: It's okay for an overnight stay, but with a little more effort from the host, it could be much better.
