About this house rental
The property is furnished to a very high standard. It comprises of 1 bedroom at the rear of the property with a super king sized bed, a small bedroom at the side of the bungalow with a 4 foot double bed. At the front of the bungalow, overlooking the Solent, is a twin bedroom . There is a large study with a sofa bed, TV and DVD player.
There is a modern bathroom with bath and shower. There is also a separate modern shower room with toilet.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped and has sea views.
The spacious lounge has amazing sea views from a large picture window to the front with views of Southampton Water and a large bay window with views all the way across the Solent to Portsmouth. There is a log burner with an initial supply of logs. As an alternative an electric “wood burner” effect fire can be moved from the study to the fireplace if required.
There is a separate study / TV room with a sofa bed. This also has fantastic sea views.
There is also a conservatory with conservatory furniture and table which overlooks the mature spacious garden. The resident red squirrels visit most days.
There is a secluded patio overlooking the garden which is a sun trap. The patio to the front has a BBQ and sea views.
A travel cot and high chair is available.
There is off road parking for 2 cars up a steep drive. Alternatively there is on road parking outside the bungalow. Once at the top of the drive the bungalow is on the level with only a small step up into the bungalow itself.
Full internet.
From the rear garden there is a gate into Northwood Park. There are large gardens there, tennis courts and children's play area.

Parkwater is a great bungalow in a super location. A real home from home. The secure rear garden backs onto a nice park. The front has super views over water. Bob & Kim are very attentive before, during and after your stay. The only draw back is the steep drive up, which was a bit slippy to try and drive up when wet. The on street parking is free, but can get busy during the day. We had a relaxing stay thx

Just had the best week ever , taking my elderly parents to stay here . Bungalow was perfect, views were amazing, garden was beautiful and we were blessed with 6 days of sunshine.

Just back home after a fantastic stay at Parkwater. The property is spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything you could possibly need - and much more!
Amazing views over the Solent from the front of the property (lovely to watch the ships go by) and a large, very well maintained garden to the rear with a comfortable, and nicely warm in the winter, conservatory to sit and relax with a glass (or three) of wine and watch the red squirrels coming and going every day.
Perfect location too with just a short walk into Cowes for some great restaurants, shops and pubs and both a large park behind the house and long esplanade nearby for local dog walks.
Easy parking as well. The steep drive was no problem at all with turning space at the top even for a big car (though you might want to practice your five point turns!).
Bill (the owner) couldn’t be more helpful. His communication was excellent throughout and you can tell both he and Kim genuinely care about their guests and want them to have the best possible stay.
My only (very minor) suggestion would be to replace the cutlery, crockery and glassware in the kitchen. While there is more of it than you could ever need, it’s a bit of a hotchpotch of assorted half sets and random bits which doesn’t fit in quite so well with the high quality of everything else in the house.
We loved our stay at Parkwater and, now we’ve been once, we wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else next time we return to the Isle of Wight.
