The heated pool was great and the beds were comfortable. Communication with the host and onsite support were excellent. We also appreciated being provided with extra towels upon request.

Unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing. The house itself is massive, but it felt unwelcoming. We were surprised by the lack of a properly equipped kitchen inside (limited utensils, no stope, no oven, no microwave)—the only stove was in the outdoor kitchen, which was not nice, not clean and had an unpleasant smell. This made self-catering impossible, which was a letdown given the remote location. Additionally, there were only two loungers by the pool. The washing machine was also extremely outdated. Overall, we had higher expectations and were disappointed with our stay.

The villa has a lot of space and a nice outdoor area with pool, grill, and loungers. It is right on the beach of Al Ashkharah, which is a peaceful location.

The villa was not at the cleanliness standard expected, with unclean surfaces, including the fridge, and cutlery/plates. Additionally, the beach was full of plastic, which is not necessarily the fault of the owner of the villa, but it should be mentioned if you are expecting a pleasant beach experience. This is unfortunately true for many beaches in Oman and this section of Al Ashkharah is no exception.
