The Beautiful scenery. Gentle music is played as you enter the house, very relaxing and soothing. The host is thoughtful and kindly offered a complimentary bottle of wine. We don’t drink alcohol, but we appreciated the free milk provided in the fridge.view is great.

The interior decoration is quite old. Although well maintained, it does not feel high-end enough to justify the price. The pillow cores are very worn out, lumpy and uneven, with a strong chemical/oil odor. I had to sleep on the big decorative cushion instead, which greatly affected my sleep for two nights. It is not worth saving money on basic bedding like pillows, as it ruins the staying experience. The house sits on high ground with no front shelter. On windy and rainy days, the wind noise is extremely loud all night and disturbs sleep. Overall it’s an okay stay, but I feel the price should be more competitive.

La casa es sencillamente maravillosa, el confort, las vistas, la calidez, la decoración muy cuidada y elegida. Cada rincón de la casa es hermoso, pero las vistas se lleva todas las estrellas. El anfitrión es extremadamente amable, preocupado por el confort del huesped y atento. Muy recomedable.

Such a beautiful home and views, it was truly spectacular and one of the best places we stayed in all NZ. All things were thought of, beautiful music when you entered, snacks on arrival, great facilities, comfortable beds, games and comfy couches, really thoughtful touches throughout even signage and means to deal with the serious bug situation being so close to the river the area experienced midges!

Midges! Keep the doors and windows closed! Could've used an extra fan or two in some of the bedrooms as it was warm when we stayed there and the electric plugs in the bathrooms didn't work for some bizarre reason so drying your hair without a mirror was not easy. All things considered though it was an amazing place to stay. So beautiful.
