Rotorua Serenity Lakeview Retreat

This is a lovely property, well equipped, comfortable, clean and full of art. It's in a great location if you have a car and the views are sublime!

The hot water system apparently is quite small compared to the size of the home and there are notices on the wall asking guests to try and space one to two hour gaps between showers and hot water use. We were a group of 4 adults and we managed, but to be honest it was annoying having to plan and space out showers as well as washing dishes and clothes. I'd imagine it could be a bit of a nightmare if travelling with kids/teenagers.

Amazing love the view and the house was super clean, bedding was comfortable, we definitely will come back again

The Beautiful scenery. Gentle music is played as you enter the house, very relaxing and soothing. The host is thoughtful and kindly offered a complimentary bottle of wine. We don’t drink alcohol, but we appreciated the free milk provided in the fridge.view is great.

The interior decoration is quite old. Although well maintained, it does not feel high-end enough to justify the price. The pillow cores are very worn out, lumpy and uneven, with a strong chemical/oil odor. I had to sleep on the big decorative cushion instead, which greatly affected my sleep for two nights. It is not worth saving money on basic bedding like pillows, as it ruins the staying experience. The house sits on high ground with no front shelter. On windy and rainy days, the wind noise is extremely loud all night and disturbs sleep. Overall it’s an okay stay, but I feel the price should be more competitive.

La casa es sencillamente maravillosa, el confort, las vistas, la calidez, la decoración muy cuidada y elegida. Cada rincón de la casa es hermoso, pero las vistas se lleva todas las estrellas. El anfitrión es extremadamente amable, preocupado por el confort del huesped y atento. Muy recomedable.
