Accommodation is ideally located, walking distance to train and tram stations plus restaurants.

Actually, I was booked at this place, but on the day of arrival, the host messaged saying the elevator wasn't working at this accommodation and they managed to secure another accommodation for me. So all the ratings above, is for the new place where we stayed. We were placed at 1 rue du Chanoine Eugene Gage, 68300 Saint Louis, at the Melvyn apartment. The location was very ideal, walking distance to the Saint Louis train and tram station plus the airport shuttle stops at the tram station. Restaurants and supermarkets are all in walking distance. The room was very spacious and fully equipped with all kitchen utensils and cutleries.

The elevator is very small and can only take one person with one suitcase. It took me a while to locate the switches, since it's dark when you come out of the elevator. Not sure for what reason, on Saturday 13 December afternoon, police closed borders at Swiss side, and we were stuck at Swiss side, while our accommodation was in France side. All trams and trains were stopped at border and none came towards France side - Saint Louis. But luckily, airport bus was working and I was able to board the bus from Basel SBB to EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg and then take the airport shuttle to Saint Louis Station. Just because of this incident, it spoiled my Basel holiday plans.

Que era una planta 8 y tenía buenas vistas.

De primeras ya, el pomo de la puerta estaba suelto y el motivo era porque costaba mucho abrir y cerrar la puerta con llave, estaba forzada, nos tiramos un rato para poder entrar y cerrar para salir. El colchón estaba peor que uno recogido de un vertedero de basura, hundido, manchado por todas partes y con unas bolillas que incluso con dos capas de sábanas bajeras se apreciaba al tacto, tuvimos que llamar para que vinieran a cambiarnos la bajera de la cama porque estaba sucia con pelos y nos encontramos incluso una uña del pie. La cafetera estaba rota, sí que se encendía pero el depósito del agua no estaba bien y perdía, no funcionaba, no conseguimos hacernos ni un solo café. La calefacción era general en el edificio y no se podía graduar, estaba muy flojita y no llegamos a estar calientes durante las horas que estuvimos en el interior del apartamento, entraba aire por una especie de respiraderos que había en la zona de cocina y en el baño. había un segundo edredón en el armario que tenía la puerta rota, por cierto pero estaba tan sucio que cuando vinieron a traernos la bajera del colchón se lo llevaron, sí teníamos una manta encima de una silla pero olía muchísimo a polvo y tampoco la utilizamos. La base de los radiadores en su interior, tenían una capa de polvo que no permitía ver ni el color de la pintura, cualquier persona que pueda tener un poco de alergia a los ácaros no podría haber dormido en esa habitación, en el caso del radiador del baño era exactamente igual. La taza del wáter estaba totalmente ennegrecida de no utilizar un producto para limpiarlo y dejarlo bien limpio. Ha sido la peor estancia que he tenido durante los años que he viajado.
