This is more of a place just to sleep rather than somewhere you’d want to spend a lot of time during

The location was okay – it’s about €23 by taxi from the airport, but the train from Saint-Louis to Basel is only €3.20 and works very well. The town itself is very small, but we found everything we needed, including a Carrefour where we bought wine and food. The apartment was well equipped: the kitchen had everything we needed (plates, bottle opener, etc.), and there was even an umbrella provided. We really appreciated the small touches like the 2 bottles of mineral water and the 2 mini Toblerones waiting for us on arrival.

The ventilation system was very noisy – there were two units, one in the bathroom and another in the kitchen. Even with the doors closed, the sound carried into the bedroom, and there were no buttons to switch them off. If you’re a light sleeper, it’s hard to have a completely quiet night here. Also, the apartment is basically an attic room, so the ceilings are low. I’m 1.80m and my husband is 1.84m, and we both felt uncomfortable moving around. The shower cabin was very small and narrow for us. Another downside was the pillows – they were rectangular, not standard shape, and not comfortable at all. Overall, this is more of a place just to sleep rather than somewhere you’d want to spend a lot of time during the day.

The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The property was located within walking distance of Saint Louis train station and was a great base to explore the Christmas markets. We had a lovely time and would love to stay again.

Although we received directions from the host as to how to get from the airport to the property. We exited via Switzerland instead of France (as Basel is in the name). This made getting there quite hard as we had to swap trams etc. would be helpful to add this to the instructions. Wouldn’t put us off staying again though!

For us, the location was great. It is really good value for price. Good public transport (tram, bus and train) connections, easy access to Basel centre and trips into France. Despite next to the road and the tramline, it was quiet. Just opposite the road there is a big hypermarket, so having no meals included was not an issue. The place is clean, well furnitured. We got a room on the top floor, so our "slogen" was mind the head, but it was good. The apartment had a nice lounge, a decent size bedroom, kitchen and a bathroom with shower. The owner, Betty was helpful when we needed assistance, and awaited us with a bit of welcome package.

The working of the heating was a bit "ad hoc", temperature was max 22 degrees. Kitchen desk is quite small, a drip tray could be useful.

Overall very nice

The location is really close to the Basel Mullhouse Airport. Easy to get the key and everything was clean. I only stayed for one night, but it's also possible to use the kitchen to cook if someone is playing to stay longer.

Easy instructions for key collection, good location for a late night flight arrival, easy to get to, spacious, clean, quiet, loved the touch of the water and snacks left for us, the host was also very flexible about allowing us to store our bags at the property after check out (although we ended up not needing it). No coplaints really.

The shower curtain tends to stick to you as you're showering. A minor inconvenience! Nothing else to add really.

Great option to stay if you are visiting Basel

The communication with the host was really good and the check-in was really smooth. The apartment we stayed in was very clean and spacious and the kitchen was fully functional. I would definitely recommend this option if you are visiting Basel.

Lovely apartment. Very comfortable and quiet.

The messages from the host were very good. The bed was comfortable.

The coffee machine and kettle had to be moved out of the kitchen to be used and the cooker was out of use as for some reason that side of the kitchen was not working. I couldn't find the isolator switch. My jacket was also covered in paint dust as the building is being repainted inside.

Prisvärt och fräscht nära Basels centrum

Jättebra boende för oss att utforska Basel och sen ta tåget vidare. Boendet är rent och fint och har allt man behöver. In till Basel kommer man snabbt och smidigt med spårvagnen som är precis utanför dörren. Smidig in- och utcheckning och väldigt prisvärt.

Buena ubicación, estratégica, para ir a Basilea.

Lo mejor, si duda, la atención del personal. En español y súper atento. Hay un super en frente. Muy bien check-in sin contacto. Transporte público al lado.

Al ser un ático, hay zonas de techos muy bajos y las ventanas son muy pequeñas, tanto por luz como por ventilación. No había ascensor.

Oui. Le code du coffre a été transmis juste avant qu'on arrive. J'espérais plus tôt, mais cela a été facile.

Il n'y a pas de parking privé. Un parking dans un supermarché en face, mais les horaires d'ouverture et de fermeture ne sont pas souvent compatibles avec le planning des clients / visiteurs ou touristes. On a dû se parquer dans une petite rue parallèle, et faire le trajet avec les bagages à pied !.
