Prachtig uitzicht over de oceaan. Mooi terras, ruime woning met twee slaapkamers, twee badkamers (waarvan 1 op de begane grond) en goed uitgeruste keuken. Je parkeert je auto op het dek.

De weg er naartoe is steil en smal! De accommodatie is erg afgelegen dus je hebt sowieso een auto nodig en het kost je 20 minuten om ergens te komen. Er is geen vaatwasser of wasmachine. Ook worden er maar 2 handdoeken per persoon verschaft (wij zaten er een week).

Wild, unspoiled, and spectacularly scenic, it offers a truly immersive natural experience. The sunrises (seen directly from the bed) and sunsets are breathtaking, and the constant sound of the ocean creates a wonderful atmosphere. Of course, as previous guests have mentioned, getting there is quite challenging. The nearest shop or restaurant is about a 20-minute drive away along a steep, narrow, and winding road, so it's worth planning your stay carefully to avoid unnecessary trips. The area is not touristy in the conventional sense – you won't find the kind of attractions typically offered in destinations geared toward mass tourism. Nearby, I highly recommend visiting Calhau de São Jorge: have a meal at the local restaurant, walk down to the ocean, and explore the ruins. In São Jorge itself, there is a café perched on the cliff with a magnificent viewpoint. The Levada do Rei trail also starts not far away (about a 15-minute drive from the house). The house itself has everything you could possibly need. The bedrooms are spacious, and the kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. There is a beautiful barbecue area, a large covered outdoor dining table, sun loungers, a lovely small garden around the house, and a more natural, wild garden area stretching down toward the sea. The garage built on the roof is an interesting architectural feature as well. One day, we simply stayed at the house without going anywhere, just to enjoy the views, the peace and quiet, and the charm of this wild, sparsely populated place.

Almost nothing to complain - only bed for me seemed uncomfortable (for me too hard mattress and pillows). Everything that makes this location special – its natural setting, lack of tourist infrastructure, remoteness from entertainment, and the need for confidence behind the wheel – could be seen as a disadvantage if you're looking for the typical attractions of a mass-tourism destination. But if that's what you're after, then this simply isn't the place for you.

The location was beautiful, right by the ocean so you could sit out on the balcony after a long hike and just listen to the waves and the breeze. The weather was perfect. I wish I could have stayed longer so I could use the outdoor grill area because it looked fantastic for a cookout. It would be great for a family meal together. The view was also fantastic, exactly like you can see in the pictures provided. The host was also very nice and checked on us halfway through staying there to see if we needed anything.
