Villa la Casita

Cute house with a beautiful pool, away from the busy coastal region in a quiet village. Overlooks a large hill, so quite private. The restaurant nearby was able to accomodate us one night (including a vegan) and it was great local fare. We ate huge mushrooms we'd never seen before that grow locally. Friendly manager, also gave tips for local supermarket, etc. A very sweet place with a lot of potential.

A few rough edges, felt like they hadn't rented for very long so still have some kinks to work out. We didn't mind, but good to know. Was a little tricky to get the key, would work better with a lock box. We used the GPS to arrive and ended up on some very small windy roads - we found a much easier way to get there afterwards but it would have been helpful to know. It's a bit smaller than it looks in the photo. We found it a bit too far out and there is really nothing around to do (and we went in May and it was really too cold to use the pool, a big reason for booking this place). The back garden is shared with the restaurant so is slightly less private in that regard. All in all we really liked it, but the location and weather made it less than perfect, and they can't help either of those.
