Joanna was a really good host giving us a lot of helpful advice on places to visit around sao antao. Joanna also stayed in the home so we got to experience the authentic cape verdean hospitality . Kitched well stocked and clean with appliances and supermarket close by 2 min walk .
I would suggest getting a taxi from the ferry as although the walk is only 20 mins with the suitcases on the cobblestone roads we found this difficult to manouever and not worth the hassle .

We chose this accommodation because of the location, but everything else was also excellent. Pleasent and friendly staff, always there for anything you need, they helped us very much.

El ruido que los obreros de la construcción hacían golpeando constantemente en el suelo de la terraza que estaban reacondicionando y que se encontraba ¡oh Dios! justo encima de mi habitación.

The living room smelled like pee and there was an issue with the system on booking.com about free cancellation before 24 hours. Then when I arrived, she wanted me to pay the fee that she got charged because of the glitch. Then there was a little bit of volatility. The problem got straightened out, but it was a very nerve-racking experience.
