My wife usually likes to stay in accommodation that has a nice big bath, power showers, and all the mod cons, so when I booked it, I thought she's going to kill me! I booked it so we could attend a friends wedding in Halkyn Wood, and this was close by. Her smile and laugh said it all, she was happy and when she's happy so am I. Gary, the owner, met us in the Blue Bell pub. He owns that as well and walked us to the corner of the car park and showed us round. It was "quirky and cute", were the words the wife used, basic and yet it had everything we needed. Fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, TV, radio, cooker and equipment, all in a compact space. The bed, required a step to get up to it, but it was warm and comfortable. It suited our needs for that night, and I'm sure that it would suit others in a similar predicament. The pub was great as well, with a range of beers, wines and spirits. We loved our 1 night stay and the views in the morning.

The hut is so cozy. It’s got everything you need for a short stay. We’re always looking for something a bit quirky so it really fits the bill. The pub next door is olde world….very reasonable drink prices and lovely staff. Gary, our host is so helpful and friendly. Beautiful views. We would loved to have stayed another night but it was booked…..so get in early.

Were the hut was in the corner in a small pub car park no tv would of prefer a tv
