Pilgrims Rest

This is such a special property. Staying in Chichester, in the heart of the city, in the cathedral grounds with private parking, stunning views… can’t be put into words. We loved the ease with which we could access the high street, the weekly farmer’s market, my favorite pub The Fountain, Ede’s House where my friend was getting married (the reason for our stay). The apartment itself is so pretty and simply appointed, with a focus on the period features and beautiful natural light from the sash windows. We loved the privacy and centrality, and the full working kitchen including a washing machine. Super comfortable bed and spacious walk in wardrobe. The host and I didn’t have much cause to chat as you access the property via lockbox but she seemed pleasant and the property’s handbook was straightforward. We would be thrilled to stay again in the future. (Ignore the last photo in my review, it wouldn’t let me delete it!)

Nothing wrong at all but three small things that could be improved: The fridge door opens on the wrong side which makes it a bit awkward to use. The sofa is fine but not comfortable/solid enough for much more than putting on your shoes. And most importantly, the shower door seal meant the shower kept leaking and getting the bathroom floor soaked even from a very brief shower.

Excellent location with free parking right in the centre of Chichester. Really helpful staff. The apartment has plenty of character and is very quiet. The bedroom is very spacious with a seating area overlooking gardens. We found it a really restful place to stay.

Loo was a little way from the bedroom. Decor wasn't top quality.

the shower was difficult to get right, it needs descaling? it was either too powerfull or not on at all, it was too hot
