Our stay at El Carmen de mis Abuelos was incredibly memorable! The property is owned and maintained by a very kind and welcoming family. Carlos, who we were in touch with was incredibly responsive/proactive and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. Beyond that, what a gorgeous place to stay! Located in the lovely and historic neighborhood of Albaicín, a UNESCO heritage site, it felt like we were staying in an oasis. There is a beautiful garden surrounded by fruit trees and a fountain where you can relax and read at night under lovely lights and a relaxing pool. Most of the rooms in the home face either the front or the gardens so you can enjoy an incredible view of Granada, the Alhambra, and the Sierra Nevada mountains. Birdsong everywhere! The rooms and bathrooms were decorated in such a lovely and professional way, it felt like were staying in a hotel! If you are looking to stay somewhere that feels authentic, not touristy, and very tasteful, stay here! Do not hesitate. You will feel as though you've come to better understand the historic soul of Granada and also had the time to enjoy the natural beauty of this place. Also, you will be in very good hands with Carlos and his lovely family!
