Hale Oaks Farm

Lovely area, private, big house, great for a large group with plenty of parking. Very handy for going to the joust.

It needs a deep clean, spider webs I get given it's location, but hand prints on doors, dust, snail slim trails around the tree and even ivy starting to grow though the walls isn't okay. The house needs maintenance, some windows aren't allowed to be opened as they don't work and the front door has a massive crack. It needs a new kettle and the fridge doesn't get cold enough to safely store meat. No fans in the property either and when it's 33 degrees with an arga in the house you should be able to provide fans. Pictures of family members and there stuff everywhere as well, which if this house is now a business, it should be treated like one, not just extra storage. As well as all the items from previous guests need clearing out.

Well.. what can I say, I don’t have enough space to write everything I want too. I was shocked at this property, in a very very good way. The price in my opinion was way too low for the absolute amazing character and the amazingness all together of this property. Plenty of bedrooms and bed space for any family especially a family with more than 2 children. Plenty of toileting facilities, and the character of this house is just amazing, almost historic but in such an amazing way. The ambience at night time with the fairy lights along the roof beams of tops off the stay as it provides a very warming, calming energy that quickly drifts you off to sleep no problem at all. The owner of this property is a lovely gentleman, who was very helpful with telling us where we can go to eat as a family as we are not from the area. When we are down this way again visiting family or just coming down for a little holiday, this is where we will be staying EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. If I could give 100 + stars.. I would. You will absolutely not regret staying in this property and in my opinion, the price should definitely be higher for staying here as this property is 100% worth it.

Very difficult question as a didn’t have any dislikes what so ever with this property or owner but if I have to write something.. I’d say my dislike is probably that I didn’t stay for longer, but that’s my own doing and not the owners or the properties at all.

Plenty of space and seating to enable our large party to gather together. Great location for a nearby wedding venue.

Dusty and a bit sad as a property. The plants were plentiful but needed some tlc. Snail trails on the carpets and needed a proper clean. Not enough equipment in the kitchen and tricky to cook as the notice said don't use the arga. The stairs to the 5th bedroom were quite difficult. In two of the rooms occupied, eveeyone was badly bitten. Two double rooms were fine.
