Genteel Home San Nicolas

The property is in a fantastic location, with every thing you would want, pool, cooking, washing machine, dish washer, ironing board, you name it. We were a group of eight. 50m from a stunning viewing area San Nicolás. You can walk to the city, but a taxi €7, and the bus 31 or 32 is only €1.60, plenty available. You can walk but be careful, steep and a lot of cobble stone streets. There are restaurants nearby, and a good market, an excellent supermarket 10 minutes away.

I really wanted this property to be the best place I ever stayed. The pctures on Booking.com are stunning. But, although it has every thing, unfortunately there were a few issues, the first was, yes there are 5 bedrooms but one is in the basement, we nicknamed it the dungeon, it has an en-suite, but no air conditioning. It smelt a bit musty, as I was the elder person, I slept there, I felt like a monk. Was met by a cockroach one morning in the en-suite, but I dealt wth it and no more. The next issue was the air conditioning unit in one bed room upstairs wasn’t working, I reported it and was told an engineer would come, then told he couldn’t and he didn’t. One of the shutters in another room wouldn’t come down. The front gate never shut, just would not. Don’t get me wrong my family and friends enjoyed every minute of our holiday. We mad the most of the whole property. But for the price of the property, it could do with a bit of TLC, and small things, like the kitchen door couldn’t close as it would have put a hole in the fridge door.
